The goal of the internship is to educate individuals to become efficient advocates against the injustice of human trafficking. We hope to inspire our interns to make the fight against modern day slavery a part of their life.
EDUCATION ON THE HISTORY AND TYPES OF HUMAN TRAFFICKING.
1) Read “The Natashas” by Victor Malerek. This book documents the rise of the most recent wave of the global sex trade which was triggered by the fall of the USSR in 1991. The book also covers the current efforts by the US and other nations as a response to the increasing trade of women and children for sex.
